Entrants under the age of 18 should check with a parent, guardian or teacher before entering the competition, particularly if a child’s entry is being submitted using a parent or guardians email address.

Entries will be judged by a team of library staff from Falkirk Community Trust. Selection of entries will be impartial and fair. The decision of the selection panel is final and no correspondence will be entered into about the selection process.

The winners will be contacted by a member of Falkirk Community Trust within a six week period after the competition has closed. If the winner cannot be contacted after reasonable attempts have been made to do so, the Organisers reserve the right to offer the prize to the next best entry.

The winner and runner up selected from each category will be invited to receive a prize at a special Readers and Writers celebration in October.

The Organisers reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or cancel this competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside its control. In this event, a notice will be posted on the Falkirk Community Trust website.
