Grace, a Primary 6 pupil from Denny, created this poem whilst remote learning from hame. To celebrate Rabbie Burns Day this year, her class were tasked with creating a poem about something they loved using Scottish words.

Ozzy The Dug
In 2020 a virus came tae toon an we awe hid tae lockdoon.
Ma maw goat us a muckle surprise an we wore oor the moon
He wiz the size of oor hawn so bonnie an tottie
We cried him Ozzy, a hertie wee puppy.
He’s oor first femily pet, a bltihe braw wee dug
Wi a fluffy jaiket, broon neb and twa bonnie lugs
We tak him fir strolls and feed him mingin’ grub
Ma da says we goat him as he kidnae get tae the pub!!
