World Book Day 2022

Thursday 3rd March sees the 25th World Book Day!

World Book Day fun at your local library

We hope you’ll pop in after school, or this coming weekend to choose some brilliant books from our World Book Day displays. While you’re visiting:

Snap a selfie for the chance to win a library goody bag!

We’d love to see your World Book Day costume or your library visit, whether it’s your family reading in our junior section, or the pile of books you’ve borrowed. Share your photos and tag us on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter for the chance to win a library goody bag!

You have until midnight on Saturday to tag us in your photo – the competition is open to families and anyone under 18. Bonus points for photos featuring books or costumes or both!

Colour or create

We’ll have colouring, quizzes and other acitrivity sheets hanging around in your children’s area, We’d love to see your artwork.

Library class visits

Most of our libraries are looking forward to visits from local schools and nurseries this week. Bo’ness Library are welcoming Bo’ness Public P2s on Thursday and St Mary’s on Friday, while Ladeside Primary are spending the day with the gang at Larbert Library.

Debbie from Denny Library is excited for Bookbug fun with Denny Nursery and Grangemouth are storytelling with Zetland Nursery.

Falkirk Library are spending Wednesday morning with Bantaskin nursery and they’ll welcome Victoria Primary P7s on Thursday.

Bonnybridge Library are already well into the World Book Day spirit. On Monday 28th Basil had a great day meeting so many of the pupils at St. Joseph’s Primary
